For Residential Care Homes

Educational Support and Compliance Solutions

Bespoke educational packages for young people not in education, alongside the One Connect app—transforming 1:1 meetings with SCCIF-aligned evidence for stakeholder reports, Reg 44, Reg 45, and Ofsted..

We Understand the Pressure

As a registered manager or care provider, you face a familiar challenge: young people arriving in your care who are not in education. Whether due to educational placement breakdown, short-term crisis placements, or the time it takes to source long-term education placements, many young people in residential care are missing out on learning.

We are here to bridge that gap.

With extensive experience—including Head of Service overseeing seven children’s residential care homes across Yorkshire and the Midlands—we understand the pressures you face. We have been in your position, managing complex placements and navigating the demands of Ofsted, Reg 44 vistors, and Reg 45 reporting.

ARK Inclusive Education operates on a simple but powerful principle: experts at hand. We provide residential care homes with access to experienced educational support and compliance solutions without the significant cost or long-term commitment of permanent appointments.

Our model is flexible, responsive, and deeply embedded in your setting’s unique context. We work alongside your leaders and staff, not as external observers, but as trusted partners committed to your success and sustainability.

How We Support You

1. Specialist Educational Packages for Young People Not in Education

We provide bespoke educational support for young people in your care who are not currently in education—whether due to placement breakdown, crisis placement, or awaiting long-term provision.

Too often, young people in residential care are supported by generic tutors who, despite good intentions, lack the specialist SEN knowledge, trauma-informed training, and experience of working with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD that this cohort requires. This mismatch can lead to disengagement, placement instability, and missed opportunities for progress. Our facilitators are different. Every facilitator we deploy has been carefully selected and trained to work with young people with complex needs—bringing deep SEN expertise, trauma-informed practice, an understanding that behaviour is communication, and extensive experience in residential and care settings. They are skilled in adapting their approach in the moment, building trust, and maintaining engagement even in challenging circumstances, using evidence-informed strategies to re-engage young people and support meaningful progress. Our RISE 2 Recovery curriculum provides a structured, therapeutic framework that underpins this work, ensuring that every young person’s journey is supported by a consistent, trauma-informed approach to re-engagement and recovery.

2. One Connect (Beta) — Transformational 1:1 Care Meeting App

We are developing One Connect, a transformational digital application that will revolutionise how 1:1 meetings are conducted, recorded, and evidenced in residential care settings.

1:1 meetings are not just a regulatory requirement—they are the primary context for therapeutic progress. Our aim is to ensures that every supervision, key worker session, and stakeholder meeting is structured, evidenced, and report-ready, transforming meaningful conversations into inspection-ready evidence.

How One Connect Works?

The app follows a continuous, sequential pathway aligned to the SCCIF judgement areas, with regular monitoring and updates made for the entire duration of the young person’s residency:

1) Referral and Onboarding

Baseline BDSE assessment established within the first week of placement

2) Weekly 1:1 Sessions

Regular structured meetings tracking progress, setting goals, and capturing young person voice

3) Quarterly Progress Reviews

Thematic analysis, trend identification, and care plan adjustments

4) Pre-Inspection

Automated report generation with evidence mapped directly to SCCIF criteria

5) Transition

Comprehensive exit portfolio summarising progress for the next placement
