About us
ARK Inclusive Education is a new specialist service across the Yorkshire region, committed to supporting parents and carers, schools, residential care homes, and local authorities to help some of the region’s most vulnerable young people who are struggling to engage in their education.
We offer in-school strategic support, alternative provision, and specialist 1:1 educational packages—all designed to re-engage learners, build resilience, and support successful reintegration into mainstream education.
Our work is rooted in over 2 decades of education insight across mainstream and SEND settings, as well as residential care homes. We are committed to implementing up-to-date, evidence-based strategies that support young people to succeed in their educational journeys—keeping them connected to their local schools, their communities, and their futures

Meet Darren Singh – Founder of ARK Inclusive Education

My Background
With 20 years of SEN leadership across Yorkshire and the Midlands, I have served as Executive Head of four specialist SEN schools—from primary through to post-16—and as Head of Service overseeing seven children’s residential care homes. Establishing strategic and leadership relationships with over 25 Local Authorities
Throughout my career in the independent sector, I saw too many children uprooted from their communities and placed in specialist settings miles from home. With timely early intervention and evidence-based inclusion strategies, many could have flourished in their local maintained school—saving them from displacement and educational rejection, and sparing local authorities the significant cost of out-of-area placements.
I founded ARK Inclusive Education to change that—to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive in their local school, with the right support in place from the start.
Who We Work With?
As a newly established specialist service across Yorkshire, ARK Inclusive Education is actively building partnerships with organisations and individuals who share our commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND. We are currently engaging with mainstream schools, academies, and MATs to strengthen inclusion, build staff capacity, and support reform readiness. We are reaching out to local authorities to explore how we can support children’s services, reduce reliance on costly out-of-area placements, and complement existing school improvement partners. We are connecting with residential children’s homes to offer specialist educational packages for young people not accessing education, alongside our One Connect Beta app. And we are here for parents and carers navigating the SEND system and seeking the right support for their child. We may be a new name, but we bring 20+ years of SEN leadership experience to every conversation—and we are keen to work with partners across the region to make a lasting difference.
