SEN Strategic Consultancy – Education Solutions

Our consultancy service provides expert SEN and inclusion support to schools, multi-academy trusts, and local authorities. We help you navigate the evolving educational landscape, including the government’s SEND and Inclusion White Paper reforms and the subsequent improvement plans. We offer strategic guidance on implementing a whole-school approach to SEND, building inclusive cultures, and ensuring that your provision meets the needs of all learners. We support you in developing effective SEND policies, delivering high-quality staff training, and creating sustainable systems that improve outcomes for pupils with SEND and reduce the risk of exclusion.

Therapeutic Alternative Provision – Active Inclusion

ACTIVE Inclusion is a fully integrated short-term therapeutic intervention designed as an alternative provision for pupils with significant SEND. This 12-week programme uses trauma-informed physical activity as a hook to deliver SEN, PSHE, literacy, and numeracy in a single session. Perfect for pupils who are disengaged or at risk of exclusion or those who may require an EOTAS intervention – it provides rapid stabilisation and support for reintegration. We offer this Intervention to pupils of all ages from Primary through to Post-16; Including opportunities to undertake fully Accredited Level 3 Qualification for Year 11 and Post 16 pupil.

Who it’s for: Pupils at risk of suspension, with EBSA, or on EOTAS packages.

Trauma Informed Alternative Provision – RISE 2 RECOVERY

The RISE 2 Recovery curriculum is a trauma-informed, short-term educational intervention for children in crisis—including those in short-term care placements, awaiting school allocation, or experiencing extended suspensions. It provides immediate access to full-time education, focusing on the RISE competencies (Regulation & Resilience, Inclusion & Independence, Safety & Strengths, Empowerment and Engagement) to build resilience and facilitate a successful transition to a long-term placement or school. Delivered by qualified SEN specialists with flexible, hybrid options, and underpinned by robust monitoring through the ARK app and automated Reports suitable for a range of Stakeholders

Who it’s for: Children in care, permanently excluded pupils, or those with EBSA (Emotional Based School Avoidance) or those that are on EOTAS packages

Flexible Delivery: (3-5 sessions/week) or Extended pathways.
Holistic Framework: Integrates PSHE, RSE, literacy, and numeracy within a therapeutic structure.
Evidence-Based: Tracks progress against the Wakefield Risk and Resilience Framework.
Comprehensive Reporting: Evidence-based progress reports, actionable development strategies, and genuine pupil voice – all in one place. Ideal for the full range of stakeholders

Residential Children Care Support- One Connect (Beta)

In addition to our RISE 2 Recovery Curriculum and Active Inclusion interventions—both of which can be adopted to provide educational support for young people in care— ARK is currently developing a purpose-built digital solution that transforms weekly 1:1 key work sessions into evidence-based strategies that directly support SCCIF compliance. By capturing progress, young person voice, and staff observations in real time, the app turns therapeutic conversations into structured, inspection-ready evidence—demonstrating the impact of your care, every step of the way. We are currently offering a Free Beta version for residential homes to trial
